Guns

Guns are tools, and like any other tool it can be used correctly or incorrectly!  The 2nd amendment to the constitution of the United States guarantees our right to keep and bear arms!  Even though it is a right, it should also be considered a privilege!  The United States is the greatest country on earth and it became that because of the sacrifice and bravery of many people.  It is the people who make a country!  Why do so many even now sacrifice everything to come to this great land?  They come here because they can have the freedoms that are lacking in their homelands.  America even with all it's problems is still the place that oppressed and struggling people want to be!

The right to keep and bear arms is not something to be taken lightly.  Training and the knowledge of what happens once a trigger is pulled should weigh heavily on the mind of an individual who carries a weapon, be it for hunting, target shooting or self protection.  The bullet can not be brought back! 

The number of incidents involving the criminal or accidental shootings is small compared to the number of guns that are in the hands of citizens.  We have more deaths each year from the misuse of automobiles by drunken drivers than we do from guns.  The Kennedy family alone has killed more people than all the guns of all the people I personally associate with, using cars, planes and drugs!

We need to remember when we vote, and you should vote, to pick representatives who will continue to protect our rights and privileges!

Shooting sports are a healthy and relaxing activity that can be enjoyed by every member of the family.  It also promotes the safe use and handling of firearms.  You will meet all walks of life and share a common interest and make lifelong friends, I know I did!

       All gun owners whether you are a hunter, collector, target shooter, military weapons enthusiast or paper puncher need to stick together and support one another's interests!  I myself am a target shooter and AR-15 enthusiast but I equally support the rights of the bolt gun and shotgun users as well.  I am not a hunter but I support and defend the hunter and their long traditions!  If we allow the anti-gunners to strip away just one of our rights, it won't be long before they want to remove others!  If you are a gun owner and want to continue to be a gun owner start thinking like one.  Join the NRA or GOA, be proactive, let others know how you feel about your rights.  Take the time to find out more about other gun owners interests!  Show you are responsible and vote like a gun owner!
